The Big Ten Conference announced its weekly swimming and diving award winners.

Big Ten Men’s Swimmer of the Week  

Charlie Clark, Ohio State 






Sr. – Sandusky, Ohio – Perkins High School – Major: Sport Industry

  • Won both distance events at the Tim Welsh Classic over the weekend

  • Finished first in the 500 freestyle with an NCAA B cut time of 4:18.54 and won the 1000 free with a time of 8:49.68

  • Placed fifth in the 200 free with a time of 1:39.16

  • Last Ohio State Swimmer of the Week: Charlie Clark (Jan. 10, 2024)

Big Ten Men’s Diver of the Week 

Jordan Rzepka, Purdue  

Jr. – Solon, Ohio – Solon – Major: Selling & Sales Management

  • Posted a pair of team season-best scores with a sweep of the 1-meter and platform events in Purdue’s dual meet at Indiana, sweeping the diving events for the second time this season

  • Placed first in the 1-meter with a 409.43 and first on platform with a 496.20, both NCAA Zone Qualifying scores

  • Last Purdue Diver of the Week: Holden Higbie (Jan. 17, 2024)

Big Ten Swimmer of the Week

Amy Fulmer, Ohio State 

Gr. – Bellefontaine, Ohio – Bellefontaine – Major: Biology

  • Won the 100 backstroke with an NCAA B cut time of 51.76
  • Placed second in the 200 backstroke (1:54.41) and third in the 50 freestyle (22.30), both are NCAA B standard times

  • A part of the winning 200 freestyle relay (1:27.65 – automatic NCAA qualifying time), 400 medley relay (3:30.38 – automatic NCAA qualifying time), 800 free relay (7:06.72) and the 400 free relay (3:13.80 – automatic NCAA qualifying time) teams.

  • Also on the second-place 200 free relay team that turned in an NCAA provisional time of 1:36.96

  • Last Ohio State Swimmer of the Week: Paige Hall (Nov. 15, 2023)

 

Big Ten Diver of the Week

Abby Baxter, Nebraska 

Fr. – Coppell, Texas – Cambridge School of Dallas – Major: Marketing

  • Swept the women’s diving events, posting two NCAA Zone Qualifying scores
  • Won the 3-meter with a career-best 331.65
  • Placed first in the 1-meter with a 296.18
  • Last Nebraska Diver of the Week: Sarah Troyer (Dec. 15, 2021)

 

Big Ten Freshman of the Week

Anastasia Tichy, Nebraska 

Salzburg, Austria – Sport und musisches Realgymnasium – Major: Business

  • Won the 200 butterfly in Nebraska’s dual victory over Illinois, posting an Arc Pool facility-record time of 1:59.22
  • Earns her first Big Ten Freshman of the Week honor
  • Last Nebraska Freshman of the Week: Beatrix Tanko (Oct. 25, 2023)
