The 2024 Pac-12 Women’s Swimming and Diving Championships continued with the Day 2 finals from Federal Way, Washington.
The Day 2 events are the 500 freestyle, 200 IM, 50 freestyle and 200 free relay.
USC’s Anicka Delgado won the 50 free and led off the winning relay as the Trojans looked to try to keep pace with Cal in the team standings.

Pac-12 Women’s 500 Freestyle
Arizona State senior Lindsay Looney held her top seed and race to the conference title in the 500 freestyle.
Looney dropped nearly four seconds from her prelims time and won the race in 4:35.05.
Stanford junior Aurora Roghair took second in 4:36.32, dropping three seconds.
A pair of grad students from Cal were next as Mia Motekaitis took third in 4:37.77 and Rachel Klinker was fourth in 4:37.89.
Arizona State sophomore Deniz Ertan was fifth in 4:39.16, followed by Stanford sophomore Natalie Mannion (4:41.41), USC sophomore Claire Tuggle (4:43.42) and Cal freshman Kathryn Hazle (4:47.16).

Pac-12 Women’s 200 IM
Stanford freshman Caroline Bricker hung on to her top seed as well and the victory in the 200 IM.
She dropped two seconds from prelims and finished in 1:53.31. The time was about a second off the championship meet record.
Cal junior Leah Polonsky was just behind in 1:53.58, also dropping two seconds as the top two finished a second ahead of the field.
Arizona State’s Ieva Maluka was third in 1:54.43, followed by Stanford sophomore Lucy Bell (1:55.80).

Pac-12 Women’s 50 Free
USC senior Anicka Delgado surged to the conference championship in the 50 freestyle.
The Ecuador Olympian dropped more than two tenths of a second from her prelims time to get to the wall in 21.95.
Delgado was the only swimmer in the field to break 22 seconds and was nine tenths away from the championship record set by Cal’s Abbey Weitzeil. It was Delgado’s second Pac-12 title in the event during her career.
The Trojans scored five in the top 16 in the event, including senior Caroline Famous, who finished fourth in 22.17.
Cal junior Stephanie Akakabota took second in 22.02, followed by Stanford’s Amy Tang (22.15).
Cal’s Eloise Riley, the top seed, finished seventh in 22.32.

Pac-12 Women’s 200 Free Relay
Fresh off of her victory in the 50 free, Anicka Delgado led off the winning 200 free relay for the USC Trojans, who won the conference title in 1:27.10.
Delgado split a 22.37, followed by Caroline Famous (21.52), Kaitlyn Dobler (21.71) and Minna Abraham (21.50).
The Trojans won by more than half a second.
Cal finished runner-up with Eloise Riley, Stephania Akakabota, Mckenna Stone and Isabelle Stadden going a 1?27.75.
Stanford’s Gigi Johnson, Amy Tang, Anna Shaw and Kayla Wilson took third in 1:28.05.
UCLA’s Brooke Schaffer, Maya Wilson, Sarah Bennetts and Madeleine Wright finished fourth in 1:28.43.
