Alabama women’s basketball March Madness bracket predictions for 2024 NCAA tournament

With the NCAA tournament selection show starting on Sunday, March 17, Alabama women’s basketball looks to be playing in the tournament for the third straight season.

The Crimson Tide (23-9) lost in the SEC tournament to Tennessee on Friday, March 8, in Greenville, S.C., and look to make its second straight Round of 32 appearance under coach Kristy Curry. The Crimson Tide also won 10 games in the SEC this past season, the most since the 1997-98 season.

Alabama finished fourth overall in the SEC, its highest placing in the SEC since Curry took over in 2013.

ESPN: 9 seed (Iowa City)

Projection date: March 14

Charlie Creme’s latest bracketology projections see Alabama going to Iowa City as part of the Albany 2 region. He projects a No. 9 Alabama to face No. 8 Florida State in the first round before a matchup with either No. 1 seed Iowa or No. 16 seed Sacred Heart/Holy Cross.

Her Hoops Stats: 9 seed (Stanford)

Projection date: March 14

Her Hoops Stats’ Megan Gauer sees Alabama traveling to Stanford as part of the Portland 2 region. It projects a No. 9 Alabama to face No. 8 Nebraska in the first round before a matchup with either No. 1 seed Stanford or No. 16 seed Holy Cross/UT Martin.
