The Washington Commanders hired Dan Quinn from the Dallas Cowboys to become their new head coach on Feb. 1.
Cowboys running back Tony Pollard didn’t find out until he was told during an appearance on the Pat McAfee show on Wednesday.
Pollard said he had taken a step back from social media and wasn’t aware that Quinn had left the Cowboys.
“You know what’s crazy,” Pollard said, “See I hadn’t been on social media, I got rid of Instagram like midway through the season. Being a Cowboy you just have to find ways to keep your mental on point… I just found out right now.”
Pollard said he had spent his offseason playing with his kids, being more present at home and watching TV and movies instead of being on social media.
Pollard is a free agent after rushing for 1,005 yards with six touchdowns during the 2023 season which he played on the franchise tag.
