NEW COMMIT: Stanford University has earned another big verbal commitment for Fall 2028, this time from in-state standout Daniela Linares Danzos of Danville, Calif. Linares Danzos is one of the top recruits in the class, and she owns the fastest time in the group in the 200 back (1:51.87).

She will join Reina Liu on The Farm as a member of the Cardinal’s Class of 2032.

Regarding her commitment, she said:

“Celebrating the dreams that come true! I couldn’t be happier to announce my verbal commitment to continue my athletic and academic career at STANFORD UNIVERSITY! There are so many thanks I’d like to give, but first of all to my mom and dad for being there every step of the way! I’m also endlessly grateful for @pleasantonseahawks and the PLS coaching staff, especially Coach Joe and Coach Steve! Finally, my teammates, friends, past coaches, family, and anyone who has ever believed in me this wouldn’t be possible without you! This truly is a dream come true and my gratitude for @stanfordwswim is endless! Thank you to Coach Annie and Coach Chris for giving me this incredible opportunity! 🤍Stanford Receives 2028 Verbal From Mexican National Record Holder Daniela Linares Danzos GO CARD!! ❤️Junior National Finalist Justin Shi Pledges 2028 Verbal to StanfordStanford Receives 2028 Verbal From Mexican National Record Holder Daniela Linares Danzos”

She placed seventh overall. She earned silver in the 100m back and 200m back at the Mexican Short Course Open back in December.

Linares Danzos trains year-round with Pleasanton Seahawks.
