Florida Gators Snag 2028 Verbal From Breaststroker Isabella Green
NEW COMMIT: The University of Florida has secured its first public verbal commitment for Fall 2028 from Weddington, N.C. native Isabella Green. A Junior National qualifier, Green is a talented breaststroker.
Regarding her commitment, she said:
“I am so incredibly grateful and thrilled to announce my verbal commitment to The University of Florida! First, I want to thank the Lord for guiding me every step of the way. I want to give a special thanks to my entire family for being a constant source of support for me- and endless thanks to my friends. I want to extend my thanks to Coach William for encouragement early on. I also want to thank Coach Miles for years of support and a special thanks to Coach Kevin, who I am forever grateful for. Lastly, I want to thank the entire Gators staff: Coach Nesty, Coach Whitney, Coach Jack, Coach Kristen, and Coach Chelsea for this incredible opportunity to be a part of such an amazing program. GO GATORS!”
Green does her club swimming with SwimMAC Carolina. Last fall, she earned six best times at the SwimMAC November LC/SC Invitational, placing third in the 100 breast, fourth in the 200 breast, and fifth in both the 100 fly and 200 IM.
Her best times include:
- 100 breast – 1:01.16
- 200 breast – 2:12.80
- 200 IM – 2:01.87
- 100 back – 55.69
- 100 fly – 55.47
Green is currently a junior in high school. She will arrive in Gainesville as a member of the Gators’ Class of 2032.
Florida finished third at the 2026 Southeastern Conference Championships and 10th at the 2026 NCAA Championships. Green’s top time in the 100 breast is already fast enough to score in the C-final at the conference meet.
