Ferrari snatched a dramatic victory in the FIA World Endurance Championship’s Lone Star Le Mans at Circuit of The Americas after a late mechanical issue denied Toyota’s Nyck de Vries a seemingly certain win.
Antonio Fuoco, Nicklas Nielsen and Miguel Molina, sharing the #50 Ferrari entry, claimed their first victory of the 2026 campaign after a dramatic finale that saw Nyck de Vries, at the wheel of the #7 Toyota, suffer a suspected hydraulic issue while comfortably leading the race with just 11 minutes remaining on the clock.
In the LMGT3 class, the #27 Heart of Racing Aston Martin secured its second victory at COTA in three years as Ian James, Zacharie Robichon and Mattia Drudi triumphed over the Manthey DKR Porsche crew of James Cottingham, Ayhancan Güven and Timur Boguslavskiy.
