Matthew Brennan romps to a second stage win on Vuelta a España stage 5

Matthew Brennan (Visma-Lease a Bike) sprinted to an assured second stage victory in Roquetes Terres de l’Ebre, on stage five of the Vuelta a España.

The Briton had said he hoped there would be more to come, after winning stage three at the weekend, and he got his wish. With a strong leadout training including Wout van Aert and Christophe Laporte, there was little stopping Brennan, who romped home well ahead of second placed Jordi Meeus (Red Bull-Bora-hansgrohe).
