Vanderbilt women’s basketball vs Tennessee score today: Live updates, game highlights, how to watch

by

It’s been five years since Vanderbilt women’s basketball beat the Tennessee Lady Vols, but this year could be as good of a chance as ever.

The Commodores (14-4, 1-3 SEC) got off to a strong start in non-conference thanks to the contributions of Mikayla Blakes and Khamil Pierre, but Vanderbilt has lost three games in a row in its toughest stretch of conference play.

Tennessee (15-2, 3-2) has become known for its exciting late-game comebacks and fast-paced style under new coach Kim Caldwell. Caldwell came over from Marshall, where she led the Thundering Herd to the NCAA tournament in 2024. Marshall played in the same Blacksburg Regional as Vanderbilt but the two teams did not play each other.

The Commodores are coming off their conference bye and have not played since Monday. The Lady Vols defeated Mississippi State on Thursday.
