Georgia football transfer portal target Nebraska running back Dante Dowdell  has committed to the Kentucky Wildcats, as reported by On3’s social media account.

Dowdell, a former four-star prospect in the 2023 recruiting class, was ranked among the top 200 players nationally. He initially committed to Oregon but saw limited playing time there and transferred to Nebraska for the 2024 college football season.

During his lone season with the Cornhuskers, Dowdell rushed for 614 yards and 12 touchdowns (among the Big Ten leaders). Known for his physical running style and ability to power through defenders, Dowdell is a seamless fit for the Wildcats’ physical rushing offense.

Even though it is a miss for UGA, the Bulldogs have a lot of star power returning for the 2025 season. Georgia is looking to bring back freshman running back Nate Frazier and maybe Trevor Etienne if he decides to forgo the 2024 NFL draft. Those two could form the best duo in college football next season.
