While preparing for its Southeastern Conference debut, Texas will play another Atlantic 10 team.
Texas is set to host La Salle at Moody Center on Tuesday night. Texas just has games against La Salle, South Dakota State and UTRGV left on its schedule before its SEC opener at Oklahoma on Jan. 2, 2025.
Ranked No. 6 in the USA Today Sports Coaches Poll, Texas is two days removed from a 65-54 win at Richmond. Both Richmond and La Salle play in the Atlantic 10 Conference. Richmond topped that conference’s preseason poll while Atlantic 10 coaches picked La Salle to finish last in their 15-team league.
This is the first-ever meeting between Texas (10-1) and La Salle (6-5). The Explorers are led by sophomore guard Ashleigh Connor, who is averaging 11.8 points, 5.7 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game.
