The Vols are ranked No. 1 in the nation for the second straight week. It is the second time UT has been ranked No. 1 in consecutive weeks in program history. Both times were under coach Rick Barnes.
Tennessee’s 10-0 start is its best since an 11-0 run to open the 1999-2000 season. The 1922-23 Vols have the best start in program history. That team opened the season 14-0 in its 17-game season.
