Sparty takes the field before Michigan State’s football game against Purdue on Friday, Nov. 22, 2024, at Spartan Stadium in East Lansing.

Michigan State football picked up the commitment of Kent State wide receiver Chrishon McCray earlier in the day on Monday, and before the night would close, the Spartans picked up a second commitment.

MSU picked up the commitment of Joshua Eaton, a 6-foot-2, 190-pound cornerback from Texas State.

Eaton began his career at Oklahoma, where he played three years before moving to Texas State, where he was a starter for the past two seasons. With TSU, he racked up 49 tackles and 13 pass breakups, while he only gave up 17 catches for 264 yards in the 2024 season.
