Sabres Forward Breaks The Ice Against Maple Leafs

The Buffalo Sabres suffered a deflating 5-3 loss to the Toronto Maple Leafs on Sunday (Dec. 15). After having a 3-1 lead in the second period, the Sabres allowed four unanswered goals and extended their brutal losing streak to 10 games.

While this was undoubtedly another ugly game for the Sabres, Jack Quinn was one of the club’s lone bright spots.

Quinn finally broke the ice against the Maple Leafs, as he had a two-goal night. Before this, he had not scored a goal in 16 straight games. In addition, his goal on Oct. 26 against the Detroit Red Wings was his only one of the season before this contest.

This was a great way for Quinn to respond, as he had not played since Dec. 3 against the Colorado Avalanche due to multiple scratches. Thus, he undoubtedly was due for a big night, and he had just that.

It will now be interesting to see if Quinn can build on this two-goal game from here.
