The final UFC fight of 2024 is a wrap, and Joaquin Buckley was the last man to get his hand raised inside the octagon with a UFC on ESPN 63 victory over Colby Covington.
Buckley (22-6 MMA, 11-4 UFC) improved to a stellar 6-0 since dropping to welterweight in May 2023 when he scored the third-round doctor’s stoppage TKO win over former interim divisional champion Covington (17-5 MMA, 12-5 UFC) at Amalie Arena in Tampa, Fla., and as a result raised his stock higher than it has ever been in his octagon tenure.

Colby Covington doing this big entrance that played to crickets and then going out sad against a mid-level guy in the main event of a random TV card is the perfect end to his silly career.

20-18 Buckley.
He’s picking him apart on the feet thus far. Likely takedown or bust for Covington.
