Max Sasson has his first career NHL goal. The Vancouver Canucks center netted his first in the NHL on Saturday in a home game against the Boston Bruins, with the assist going to J.T. Miller. With the goal, Sasson becomes the 492nd player to score a goal for the Canucks and the 21st player to score for Vancouver this season.

After a successful NCAA career at Western Michigan University, Sasson signed with the Canucks as an undrafted free agent on March 26, 2023. Sasson made the jump to the AHL immediately after the NCAA, recording 53 points in 79 games with the Abbotsford Canucks. The 24-year-old made his NHL debut on November 23, 2024, against the Ottawa Senators, where he recorded his first career assist in a 4-3 victory.
Prior to his first goal, Sasson recorded four assists in his first nine games. During those nine games, he averaged 9:24 of ice time while blocking seven shots and throwing six hits. Sasson’s goal was the only one of the game for Vancouver, as they fell 5-1 against Boston.
