Maliq Brown is out for Duke basketball’s game against Incarnate Word on Tuesday at Cameron Indoor Stadium.
Brown is day-to-day with a toe injury, per Duke. One of the top defenders for the Blue Devils (7-2, 1-0 ACC), Brown is averaging 3.1 points, 5.9 rebounds and 1.9 steals through nine games.
The Syracuse transfer has become one of Duke’s top reserves in his first season. He had 6 points, 11 rebounds and 3 steals in the Blue Devils’ 76-65 comeback win at Louisville in the ACC opener. He’s finished with multiple steals in five of nine games.
Following Duke’s game against Incarnate Word, the Blue Devils will have a seven-day break before welcoming George Mason to Cameron Indoor Stadium on Dec. 17.
