The No. 5 Georgia Bulldogs will wear red jerseys when the Bulldogs play the No. 2 Texas Longhorns in the 2024 SEC championship game. Texas, who is technically the home team, will wear white jerseys.
The jersey matchup is a different than when Georgia and Texas played earlier this season. Georgia will wear silver britches and red helmets along with their red jerseys. Texas will wear whites jerseys, white pants and a white helmet. Georgia and Texas are two of the most recognizable and iconic brands in college football.
Georgia (10-2, 6-2) finished second in the 16-team conference. Georgia lost to Alabama and Ole Miss this season.
The Bulldogs will be playing in their seventh SEC championship in eight years. Georgia has made four consecutive SEC championships. UGA head coach Kirby Smart is 2-4 in SEC title games at Georgia.
Texas (11-1, 7-1) finished the year with the top record in the SEC. Texas’ lone loss came at home to the Georgia Bulldogs back in October. The Longhorns have advanced to the SEC championship in their first season in the conference, but can Texas win it? The Longhorns are looking to avenge their previous loss to Georgia.
The SEC championship will be played in the Mercedez-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia. The Georgia-Texas game starts at 4:00 p.m. ET on Dec. 7 and will be televised on ABC.

Georgia is 2 1/2-point underdogs against Texas in the SEC championship. Both teams are expected to make the College Football Playoff regardless of who wins. However, the winner will receive a bye in the first-round of the playoff.
