Add Florida and Florida State’s rivalry as the latest game to feature a fight breaking out in the final week of the college football season.

After the Gators dominated the Seminoles 31-11 on Saturday night in Doak Campbell Stadium, a fight between both teams broke out after a Florida player planted a Gators flag at midfield.

Here’s a look at the action, which seemed to involve Seminoles coach Mike Norvell:

The moment follows the latest trend across college football on Saturday, which started when a Michigan player attempted to plant a Wolverines flag at midfield after beating No. 2 Ohio State 13-10 early Saturday afternoon. That also led to a scuffle between the two Big Ten powers.

Rivalry Week, of course, typically causes tensions to rise. Frustrations have also been at an all-time high for Florida State in 2024, as the Seminoles finished 2-10, one of their worst finishes in program history.

NC State also attempted to plant the flag against North Carolina on Saturday, which led to a skirmish between both teams. An Arizona State player thrusted a pitchfork into midfield against Arizona, which also prompted an engagement.

Just another day in college football.

The Gators’ 31-11 win marks their third consecutive win to end the season, as they beat LSU and Ole Miss in the weeks following their season finale. Florida ran for 235 total yards with two touchdowns in the win, as coach Billy Napier defeated Florida State for the first time in his tenure.
