Another day closer to early signing day, another flip for Jonathan Smith and Michigan State football’s coaching staff.

The Spartans picked up a pledge Wednesday from three-star defensive back Terrance “Deuce” Edwards, bringing their 2025 recruiting class to 16 commitments. Edwards, a 6-foot-1, 180-pounder from Trinity Episcopal School in Richmond, Virginia, previously was committed to West Virginia.

Edwards is rated the nation’s No. 42 athlete and No. 692 player overall according to 247Sports.com’s composite rankings. He is the cousin of former MSU wide receiver Felton Davis.
