BATON ROUGE – Still learning each other and growing, LSU women’s basketball passed its first major test of the 2024-25 season last time out.
Kim Mulkey and the No. 7 Tigers dispatched of No. 20 North Carolina State, 82-65, to win the Baha Mar Hoops Pink Flamingo Championship in the Bahamas on Wednesday afternoon.
The pieces aren’t quite in the finishing spots and LSU still isn’t completely healthy, but it dominated its toughest opponent to date.
Now, it’ll be on the Tigers (8-0) to not get overconfident and stick to the process as they host North Carolina Central (0-9) on Sunday afternoon.
The Eagles have played a challenging schedule, facing four Power Four opponents. They lost to the SEC’s Georgia, one of the bottom teams in the league, 96-52.
