Does Texas A&M football play on Saturday?
It’s a question some Aggies fans may be asking as the college football world quiets down before bowl season commences on Dec. 17, with a game every day leading up to the first College Football Playoff game on Dec. 20.
Much of the Football Bowl Subdivision will be focused on the historic battle between Army and Navy for the Commander-In-Chief’s Trophy as the only FBS game of the week.
While the Football Championship Subdivision playoffs are ongoing, some may wonder when the Aggies will be on the field next.
The Aggies had a chance to be included in the CFP down the stretch. They entered November in full control of their own destiny, knowing that if they continued to win, they would’ve been in the SEC Championship Game and in the conversation for the playoff field.

However, A&M faltered down the stretch, unable to seize the moment, and finished the year 1-3, with losses to the South Carolina Gamecocks, Auburn Tigers, and Texas Longhorns.
In Year 1 of head coach Mike Elko’s tenure, the program finished with eight regular-season wins and will play the USC Trojans in the Las Vegas Bowl with a chance to reach win No. 9 on the season, a feat prior head coaches Jimbo Fisher and Kevin Sumlin were able to achieve four times in their 12 seasons in College Station.

Does Texas A&M football play this week?
Texas A&M is not in action this week. The Aggies will return to action in the Las Vegas Bowl against the USC Trojans, kicking off at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada, at 9:30 p.m. CT.
The Aggies finished the regular season 8-4, losing its final three SEC games to fall out of contention for the conference championship and the College Football Playoff bracket. However, the 5-0 start in conference play was the program’s best since joining the SEC.
