Less than 24 hours after the biggest victory in head coach Sherrone Moore’s Michigan football tenure, the Wolverines picked up another win Sunday, as four-star safety Jordan Young flipped his commitment from Clemson to Michigan.
Young, a 6-foot, 184-pound star at Monroe High in Monroe, North Carolina, ranks as the No. 150 athlete in 247 Sports’ composite rankings, as well as the No. 5 athlete and the No. 6 player in North Carolina.

In addition to his commitment to Clemson, Young had numerous offers from Power Four schools, including Alabama, Florida State, Miami (Florida) and Notre Dame, as well as from Big Ten programs Michigan State, Maryland, Penn State and USC.
Young had been committed to Clemson since Nov. 2. His commitment to U-M brings the Wolverines’ class of 2025 to 20 commitments, with 247 Sports ranking U-M’s class at seventh in the nation, as well as second in the Big Ten (behind only Ohio State).
